Did you know that over four million Quebecers have Acadian roots?
Come learn about this resilient, ingenious, and bold people! A journey from the Bay of Fundy to Lake Saint-Paul (Bécancour), where they built ships, constructed a windmill, founded a church, a village, and a religious congregation. And that was just the beginning.

New for 2025 - The Petite Cadie Space
We'll welcome you at the foot of our beautiful windmill with lawn games and refreshments throughout our opening hours. Plus, there will be live entertainment every Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Bring your picnic and your aperitif! All the details are on our Facebook page.

The Incredible Story of the Acadians
This exhibit traces the journey of the Acadian people from Nova Scotia to Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec.

Not Your Average Windmill!
Learn how a windmill works, discover the life of a miller, meet key figures of the region's seigneurial system, and experience an emotional and informative multimedia presentation.

The Monsters of Lake Saint-Paul
Highlights the craftsmanship and ingenuity of the Acadians in shipbuilding and the creation of a shipyard on Lake Saint-Paul.

Woven from the Fabric of the Land
Focuses on the history and educational mission of the Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, a congregation founded in Saint-Grégoire in 1853 by Acadian women.

St. Grégoire-le-Grand Church
Guided tour of this historic and heritage building dating back to 1803.

Captain Acadie
Enter the world of the first Acadian superhero! A wonderful youth section presented in augmented reality, complete with its own comic book series.

During your visit, don't miss the heritage walking tour of the historic Saint-Grégoire-le-Grand quadrangle. Gift shop and snack bar available on-site.

  • Saturday - 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday - 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Admission is free for summer 2025, but donations are encouraged to help ensure a long life for the Société acadienne and Petite Cadie!

Suggested contribution per visit - $5 per person | $10 per family

Fier Cadien Card - $15 individual | $40 family
Show your support for Petite Cadie and get a free popcorn, flag, and guided tour during the summer.
