Description
The Festival des Sucres de Saint-Pierre-Baptiste features activities over a period of four days, from the Thursday to the Sunday before National Patriots' Day. In addition to the traditional sugaring-off party, activities include: bingo, a family ball tournament, an evening tribute to legendary country and western singers, a folklore celebration, performances, an art exhibition, and a family amusement area.
The event takes place in a real sugar bush, bordering the village's main street. This is one of Quebec's oldest festivals, celebrating its 66th anniversary in 2023. The weekend's main attraction is, without a doubt, the sugaring-off party with maple taffy on snow, in an enchanting location, with 18 wood stoves and taffy pans interspersed throughout the sugar bush. All this is accompanied by traditional music as well as performances by guest country artists.
